I love going out to eat and I am an extreme food snob. I love the following places, they have been very accommodating and welcome you all to test their waitstaff’s skills with special orders even on a slammed Saturday night when everyone is in the weeds.
- Manna 123 Princess St. 28401 (910)763-5252
Many already paleo menu options
- Catch 215 Princess St. 910-762-2841
- The Bento Box 1121 Military Cutoff Rd #L 28405
(910)509-0774 talk to Lee he’ll make it happen with a smile.
- Portland Grill 1908 Eastwood Road 28403(910)256-6056 Has Wild Game!!
- Pizzetta's 4107 Oleander Dr 910-799-4300 They will make any entree without breading, you can also ask for Italian sausage with broccoli in a garlic sauce which isn't on the menu. This is my new go to place in Wilmington. Everyone there is really nice and the food is excellent.
- The Basics 319 N Front St 910-343-1050 They were off the list for a while because they were uncooperative one day when I called in an order and then recently they failed to mention panko came on the fish. But, the day they were uncooperative it was because they were understaffed and slammed and they offered me a gift certificate to make up for the panko. They are back on the list because they are in the end, a good restaurant with gluten free and dairy free options. And they are really nice.
- Phun Seafood Bar 215 Princess St Wilmington, NC 910-512-2756 Not only does Phun have multiple AIP paleo options, the food is phenomenal. Today I had the crispy duck noodle bowl (the noodles are made of rice) which came with a side plate of fresh herbs to add. I also had the spicy pork salad which is like Nam Sod on crack, absolutely delicious. The NC bison meatballs are gluten free and delicious, my friend had that and I tasted it. The curry sauce it comes with is TDF. This is my new favorite place in Wilmington. I will soon have an interview with chef Keith Rhodes on the site.
